Besides the obvious that it's an eye. xD
Like is it a glass eye. . . Plastic. . .
. . . . .real? ._.
eyeballs dont age so well however, its also possible its coated in clear glass or plastic and what looks like a wrinkly eyeball is just from it being wet.
looking at it closer (click download) you'll see that around the pupil the iris looks rather jagged... which makes me think its painted, since an iris works rather like an aperture device in a camera and shouldn't have jagged edges. but, it is a dead eyeball, and a horse eyeball. not sure if that would change it.
though, being that this is listed in traditional art / sculpture / surreal, im thinking that would indicate it to be fake, or else it would be under photography, provided its in the right place.
